Taktile Media Challenge – Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how Taktile LLC (“Taktile”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information in connection with the Taktile Media Challenge (the “Contest”). This Notice supplements the Taktile Privacy Policy and applies only to information collected for and during the Contest.

1. What Information We Collect

When you enter the Contest, we collect the following information:

  • Contact Information: Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
  • Demographic Information: Age, state of residence, and eligibility confirmations (e.g., 18+).
  • Submission Content: Video file(s), written descriptions, and any other materials you submit as part of your entry.
  • Social Media Handles: LinkedIn, X (Twitter), or other social media usernames if provided.
  • Employment-Related Information: If you are selected as a finalist or winner, we may collect additional information for background checks and employment eligibility.
  • Other Information: Any communications with us regarding the Contest.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • Contest Administration: To process your entry, verify eligibility, communicate with you, select and notify finalists and winners, and deliver prizes.
  • Judging: To evaluate your submission according to the Contest criteria.
  • Publicity and Promotion: To announce finalists and winners, and to use your name, likeness, and submission content for promotional purposes, as described in the Official Rules.
  • Employment Consideration: If you are selected as the Grand Prize winner, to process your application for employment, including background checks and onboarding.
  • Compliance: To comply with legal obligations, contest rules, and regulatory requirements.
  • Security and Fraud Prevention: To protect the integrity of the Contest and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information as follows:

  • Judges and Contest Administrators: With internal and external judges and those administering the Contest.
  • Public Disclosure: If you are selected as a finalist or winner, your name, likeness, and submission may be made public and used in promotional materials, social media, press releases, and on our website.
  • Service Providers: With vendors who assist us in administering the Contest (e.g., cloud storage, email, background check providers).
  • Legal and Regulatory: As required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect our rights and the integrity of the Contest.
  • Corporate Transactions: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to administer the Contest, fulfill legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Entries that do not win may be retained for promotional purposes as described in the Official Rules.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent).
  • Request a copy of your personal information.

6. Children’s Privacy

The Contest is only open to individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.

If you are located outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We will take steps to ensure your information is protected in accordance with applicable law.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
